Well, hello there! It seems that I've finally found a moment to sit down and blog about the phenomenal Christmas Minis that I held back in October. Do any other photogs out there do that? Completely skimp on blogging the sessions? Ugh. I feel so guilty when I do because there's literally SO much goodness to share!
I love holding mini sessions but I've learned, after this year, that I REALLY love holding mini sessions when they're themed and involve photographing the subject I'm most comfortable with: love. If I haven't mentioned it before (which I totally have... like constantly) I aspire to exclusively be "The Couple's Photographer." I'm slowly making changes within my business to gear my work directly toward this "genre."
I love "love." And, I love capturing it and documenting it for so many couples. While editing these sessions, I quietly hoped and prayed that someday, when these sweet men and women are old and grey, they will have their printed EKP images in hand, crimped and yellowed with age, and they'll be thankful that that particular moment in their lives was documented. A moment when it was all about them; their love, their union.
Since my life revolves so heavily around my own relationship with my husband and I've found the one whom my soul sought, I become absolutely infatuated with the thought of others experiencing that same joy. And, the fact that I'm able to freeze that for them within image? Absolutely priceless.
